Unveiled in 1922, the 20HP was a second string to the Rolls-Royce bow - a shorter, more economical sibling to the Silver Ghost, which broadened the marque's reach to include the very rich as well as the seriously wealthy. This example of the breed hails from 1929 and has attractive Blue and Silver coachwork allied to a Blue leather interior. It has been with its current keeper for six years and he informs us that it was rebodied by Park Ward in the mid-'30s. Moreover he has recent bills on file from Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists Ristes Motor Company of Nottingham for respraying in the current livery, the retrim and the supply of new tyres. He now understandably classes the freshly renovated interior as 'very good', and the bodywork, paintwork, six-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission as all being in 'good' order. The Rolls currently displays an unwarranted mileage of 28,937.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
