The Harley Earl-penned Streamliners were notable for their pronounced fastback styling and massive multi-blade chrome grille and wraparound bumpers. The first version to re-enter production post war was the Coupe. Prices ranged from $1,942 for the base model through to $2,047 for the Deluxe Eight. This left-hand drive Coupe is from that year and sports Black paintwork teamed with a contrasting Beige coloured interior. It is powered by a 249ci (4.1-litre) straight-eight engine that drives through a three-speed manual gearbox. A major restoration three years ago included: a repaint; replacement overhauled engine and transmission; new exhaust system and dashboard; and extensive rechroming. Few cars stamped their authority on a particular era more emphatically than the charismatic Streamliner.
