This most authentic-looking replica of the legendary Porsche RSK 60 has been factory-built by GP employing a 1966 VW donor car, from which part of the original chassis as well as the current registration were transferred. Once completed, it became the company's exhibition demonstrator.
The 1493cc 4-cylinder engine has a VW block, which has been bored out and fitted with all new parts including racing camshaft, two twin-choke Dellorto carburetors, oil cooler and tuned exhaust, which, according to the Cheshire vendor, sounds amazing. The engine runs well on standard unleaded and that the performance is in keeping with its racy appearance. Wheels are period-correct 5-studs. The overall condition of both motor and transmission is claimed to be very good.
The bodywork is finished in silver as used on all the factory racing Porsches and is said to be very good. The cockpit appearance is particularly noteworthy with rev-counter off-set just like an original RSK 60. The two seats have been trimmed in red leather and are adjustable, racing-style full harnesses fitted and black carpets edged with red piping. The only 3600 kilometres displayed on the odometer is claimed to be the total driven since completion by GP.
Included are a custom-made tonneau cover, fully-fitted hood and silver-coloured, all-weather protection cover. The windscreen is removable and a racing screen, also with the car, can be fitted. Never raced, the car is only being sold due to the owner's ill health.
