This very smart MG was first registered in the Isle of Man, returning to the mainland in 1960. It was then in use for a further seven years before being laid up until purchased by the vendor in 2007, since when it has been thoroughly recommissioned. It was treated to: new piston rings and shell bearings, and the valves re-seated; a new clutch and starter ring; a largely new brake system, including the master and slave cylinders and all the pipework; overhauled and re-bushed road springs; rechromed brightwork; new carpet and hood; a rewire; new tyres and battery. The vendor says the TD has been kept as original as possible and he regards the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, XPAG engine, four-speed gearbox and sidescreens as all being in "good/excellent" condition. The odometer reads an unwarranted 51,540 miles and it comes with an MOT valid until October 2014.
