• This Douglas Aero has been the subject of some attention by previous owners over the years and also over the recent lock-down

• It is the 600cc, 4-speed version and runs well and is comfortable at 45/55 mph

• The clutch is smooth in action, and the gears now engage precisely as they should in the gate following a re-work of the clevises and pins.

• It would appear that the chrome tank was an unusual option, the majority being painted all over

• It is fitted with Ariel's heavyweight front forks. The front brake actuation has been altered to suit these forks

• It has recently been fitted with valve-lifters and starts readily.

• The oil is controlled by the regulator screw, which doubles as a tap, and should be turned on one full turn at start-up
