Lot 44

1931 Alvis 12/50 TJ Tourer

Sold for £24,750

(including buyers premium)

Lot details
Registration No: KF 8008
Chassis No: 14212
Mot Expiry: July 2014

As is so often the case with classic cars, this attractively presented Alvis is only being sold because of 'the advancing years of its owner', who has been its keeper since 2005. 'KF 8008' was apparently restored in the 1980s, at which point the current body was constructed in the style of the original one. The vendor informs us that the car has been in regular use and frequently campaigned on VSCC events. He describes the Blue paintwork as 'good' and the bodywork, Blue leather interior trim and four-speed manual transmission as all being in 'very good' order. The Alvis comes with full weather equipment, 'excellent' hood and tonneau and 'shabby' side-screens. It benefits from a new set of tyres and discreetly-mounted flashing indicators. Other plus points are said to include 'good' charging and oil pressure (40psi when hot). The Tourer is MOT'd into July and taxed until the end of April 2015.
