Lot details Registration No: CVB 481 Chassis No: VA0447 Mot Expiry: Exempt
Following a protracted evolution, MG's VA was launched at the 1936 Earl's Court Motor Show. It then sold well up until WWII ended production with 2,407 being built. The attractive example offered hails from 1937 and is finished in Light over Dark Green, trimmed in Brown leather and rides on Silver-painted wire wheels. An original British car, it has apparently spent most of its life to date in the Surrey area. `CVB 481' is now being sold complete with 18 old MOT certificates and numerous bills from the 2000s, when it apparently attended lots of car shows. The vendor currently views the bodywork and paintwork as `good' (though he notes there are `slight cracks in the wings'), the four-cylinder engine as `good - no smoke', the four-speed manual gearbox as being in `good working order', and the interior trim as `needing attention'. The MG's impressive specification includes a factory-fitted sunroof and auxiliary lights.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
