The Corniche was built both by Rolls-Royce and by Bentley but in Bentley's case only 80 examples in total were ever produced and this in thirteen years between 1971 and 1984. It was more powerful and a further developed version of the original coachbuilt cars from Willesden but they were badge engineered and were renamed the Continental in its last year of production.
All the above then makes this an extremely rare Bentley and is one of the last chrome bumper cars of which we believe there to have been only 31 right hand drive examples ever produced. It is presented in the traditional dark green coachwork and comes with the very rare factory option of ebony woodwork and the owner informs us that it has recently had the benefit of a major service and that he believes the 67,000 miles to be genuine from new.
This rare car would grace any collection and we believe it to be very realistically estimated and indeed ownership of this would enable you to join one of the best owner's clubs in the country.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
