Registration No: COL 886
Chassis No: 2729
Mot Expiry: May 2003

Via stints at Renault and Daimler, and though only 25, Swiss-born Georges Roesch became Chief Engineer at Clement Talbot Limited in 1916, from when he became heavily involved in the design of all Talbot models and the cars made following the formation of Sunbeam Talbot Daracq and that combine's acquisition by Rootes. Before then, in 1936, the Model 75 was introduced in both sports-saloon and airline coupe body styles.
The splendid Roesch Talbot offered here started life as a 75 saloon, but was rebodied as a 4-seater tourer in 1998 under the supervision of John Guyatt. A further £10,000 plus was then spent with specialists Ian Polson and Archers for over-boring and re-lining the engine, carrying out a full decoke, fitting a copper head gasket, refurbishing crown wheel and pinion, and half-shafts, and renewing carpets and tonneau cover.
The car was a member of the Talbot 'Team' at the Hawthorn Memorial VSCC race meeting in 2000, finishing a creditable 9th overall in the Fisken Team event, and would respond well to further development. The vendor is only parting with it because he has been offered a much more powerful, though considerably more expensive sports-racer. Registered with the VSCC and eligible for their events, Cadwell and Mallory await you.
