The commercial vehicle subsidiary of Vauxhall, Bedford manufacturer models for both the UK and export markets. The Bedford TJ was first manufactured in 1958, being an updated version of the TD range. The TJ was available in the United Kingdom up until 1975, after 1975 it was manufactured only for export. Variants with both petrol and diesel engines were available, however the TJ was not a large seller in the home-market; despite some high-profile fleets utilising them - notably the AA and Post Office Telephones.
This final year home-market example is thought to originally have been supplied as a coal wagon local to Essex where it still resides, the TJ utilises the Diesel 220 3614cc engine which is believed to be the original engine. Finished in complementary Red and Black with Black interior, the wagon has a metal tipper body fitted. Restored in the period of 2015-6 with work including tipper restoration and cab removal for refurbishment, it has been in current ownership for the past two years. Offered with a Full V5 and with plain colour schemes, this TJ can be used as is or signwritten to the new owners wishes.
