Lot details
Registration No: HAM 12E
Chassis No: 3616610
Mot Expiry: May 2015

This very handsomely-presented and desirable SE has been owned twice by the vendor - first in 1978, whilst a student, and again since May 2007. It was comprehensively restored by marque specialist Peter Day of Daytune, Cambridgeshire in the 1990s, during which it received a galvanised replacement chassis and the twin-cam engine was fully overhauled - since when 'HAM 12E' has apparently covered 19,479 miles. It had a new clutch in 2007, at which time the Weber carburettors were overhauled. The fuel tank has been replaced, solid Hardy Spicer driveshafts fitted in place of the originals (which are included in the sale), and a new fabricated exhaust manifold and stainless steel system installed. Since 2007 the body has been stripped, repaired as required, and repainted in the original colour of Wedgewood Blue. This lovely Lotus is now offered complete with roll-over bar, four-point harnesses, ignition cut-out and a full year's tax and MOT.
