This charming AX was imported from Australia in dismantled but substantially complete form during the 1980s and then restored to its current condition. It sports a Yellow-coloured four-seater Touring body and Black wings, and is trimmed in Black leather. It is powered by a 1205cc twin-cylinder engine that features the correct Renault updraught carburettor and fixed cylinder heads. The Renault rides on non-detachable 19-inch wheels shod with near-new Avon heavy duty sidecar tyres. The many interesting features of this mid-Edwardian masterpiece include: an adjustable upper windscreen panel; secondary fuel tank; eight-day clock; `piano' pedals, the right one of which is the accelerator; wooden rimmed five-spoke steering wheel; dash-mounted hand throttle; single twist brass bulb horn; period brass rear view mirror; wicker basket for umbrellas; Lucas `King of the Road' sidelamps and a single Howes & Burley `Projector' acetylene headlamp. One of c.100 remaining examples of this popular model.
