Lot details Registration No: OBV663H Chassis No: CC50105L Mot Expiry: 29.05.2002
The Triumph TR6 was introduced in 1968 and ran for a total of eight years but was, in effect, a restyled TR5 and came with the 150bhp engine until the end of 1972.
This particular car was originally an American left hand drive vehicle and was re-imported into this country in 1990. It then received a full nut and bolt restoration which involved grit blasting and repainting the chassis and completely restoring the body including the fitment of four new wings. During this process in 1997 it was converted to right hand drive and it is now described as being in excellent condition throughout and is fitted with a new mohair hood and is, we are informed, a pleasure to drive.
The history file contains all the relevant documentation including the heritage certificate, a full photographic record of the restoration, many parts invoices and a valuation certificate for £7,500. As this car has covered a mere 400 miles since the restoration was completed, this has to be tremendous value at the estimated figure.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
