Further Info:
Introduced in 1991, the Vauxhall Frontera was based on the Isuzu MU and built at the former Bedford van factory in Luton (Vauxhall's parent company General Motors having a tie-up with Isuzu at the time). A mid-size SUV, the Frontera could be had in three-door (SWB) or five-door (LWB) guises and was initially powered by a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. A rival to the Land Rover Defender, Daihatsu Fourtrak and Jeep Cherokee etc, Vauxhall's 4x4 proved a strong seller. Unveiled in 1998, the second-generation Vauxhall Frontera boasted improved road manners and an optional 3.2 litre petrol V6 which brought useful improvements in performance and towing capacity.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
