It might sound like a garden implement but the Briggs and Stratton Mini-Chopper is a type of 'monkey' or pit bike supplied complete or in kit form by various manufacturers. The B&S engine, along with similar Tecumsah units has been used to propel similar DIY specials, kart and leisure vehicles.
This particular 59cc. Mini Chopper is a 3 speed automatic model seemingly superior to the DIY kits and home made units normally encountered. It has a manufacturer's plate affixed suggesting manufacture at Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and is believed to be of 1970 vintage. Found recently after many years of dry storage on a country estate and with a, believed genuine, registered mileage of only 50, the machine has been serviced and is said to run perfectly with 'excellent ' mechanics and otherwise 'all good'.
