As is obvious to the eye, Dearborn had a heavy influence on the styling of the Consul Classic (aka Consul 315 and Ford 109E). It was only offered between 1961 and 1963 (during which time just 111,225 were made) and came with two or four doors and Standard or De Luxe trim. Power for the earlier models was supplied by a 1340cc version of the 'Kent' engine. This gorgeous four-owner, four-door De Luxe example has a column change gearbox, is finished in Ermine White over Caribbean Turquoise, and was delivered new by Hanger Motors of Birmingham in October 1961. It's been in the current 'club member' ownership since 1997 and was restored about 14 years ago, since when it's been used for local car shows and featured in the July 2016 issue of Classic Ford. Considered by the vendor as 'very good' throughout, it comes with MOT to April 30, 2017. A rare opportunity.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
