Lot details Registration No: BLF112S Chassis No: 4105FM Mot Expiry: March 2015
Introduced at the 1976 British Motor Show, the Taimar could be had in normally aspirated or turbocharged guises (the latter courtesy of a Broadspeed-developed installation). Some sources suggest that after an initial build run of three cars, TVR later upgraded a few other Taimar Turbos to SE specification complete with wider wheel arches, split-rim Compomotive alloys, leather interior, electric windows and a wooden rather than padded vinyl dash. It is believed that 'BLF 112S' is 1 of just 10 such SE cars in existence. Reportedly treated to a 'body off' chassis restoration by RT Racing of Sheffield prior to being reassembled with refurbished or replacement chassis components as necessary, the Taimar is also understood to have benefited from a brake system overhaul, rejuvenated Turbo ignition system and new tyres. Showing an unwarranted 57,600 miles and rated by the vendor as having 'excellent' bodywork, paintwork, original leather upholstery, engine and manual gearbox, this decidedly rare TVR is MOT'd until March 2015.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
