Introduced at the New York World's Fair on the 17th of April 1964, the Ford Mustang was primarily aimed at the post-WW2 'baby boomer' generation. Backed by an enormous publicity campaign that included television coverage beamed to over 30 million homes and some 2,500 newspaper advertisements, it proved an instant hit. Soon available in Coupe, Convertible, and Fastback guise, it came with a range of straight-six and V8 engines.
This left-hand drive Mustang 289 was manufactured in 1965 in the Dearborn plant, before reaching the United Kingdom’s shores in 2013. Having only two keepers since importation, the Mustang has been used minimally in current custodianship. Finished in Red with White stripe colour, the Mustang has complementary Black leather upholstery. This ‘C’-code car's power comes from the more desirable 289ci V8 engine mated to a C4 automatic gearbox. Offered with V5C, and a small collection of past MOTs and invoices.
