  • 105,900 recorded miles and current ownership since 2014
  • Subject to £6,177 worth of expenditure in 2014
  • Offered with both hard/soft tops plus a collection of invoices

Faster, harder-edged and more driver-orientated than its R107 predecessor, the Mercedes-Benz R129-series SL was launched at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show. Brimful of cutting-edge technology, its impressively rigid two-door monocoque bodyshell featured an integral rollover bar that deployed in less than a third of a second (if the car ever sensed an impending flip) and a fully automatic convertible roof. Propelled by a variety of six- and eight-cylinder engines all allied to automatic transmission, it was the sportscar of choice for many contemporary F1 drivers. Finished in the attractive combination of Silver with Blue cloth check interior ‘M546GAP’ has covered 105,900 recorded miles and has been in current ownership since 2014. Subject to £6,177 worth of expenditure in 2014 which included a cylinder head overhaul, new radiator, wiring harness and new rear brake lines this well sorted SL is offered with a collection of invoices including the aforementioned work, both hard/soft tops, old MOT certificates and a collection note from Germany as it is understood the first owner collected ‘M546GAP’ in person from the factory. Considered by the vendor to be `Good' with regards to the engine, transmission, interior, bodywork and paintwork the SL includes an MOT certificate into March 2022.

Vendor Condition Ratings:

Bodywork: 'Good’
Engine: 'Good'
Electrical Equipment: 'Good'
Paintwork: ‘Good'
Gearbox: 'Good'
Interior Trim: 'Good'
