Lot details Registration No: BLU 880 Chassis No: B25CW Mot Expiry: July 2002
Bentley is a classic British vintage sportscar and the first machine to carry W.O. Bentley's name was produced in 1919. The company failed though in 1931 and was taken over by Rolls-Royce who then started to produce a wonderful series of 'silent sports cars' that were built in Derby.
Chassis number B25CW was first delivered to a Mrs Marion Audrey Finn with its present drophead coupe coachwork by Park Ward and it would still appear to have not only its original engine but also its original registration number. This car was bought some years ago by the newspaper magnate Mr. Eddie Shah who paid £43,000 when in need of a complete restoration and then spent in excess of £85,000 with Scott Moncrieff. A further £20,000 has been lavished on this wonderful car by the present owner and one can only say that it is now in stunning condition throughout.
This car is a real head turner with the roof up or down and it naturally has the 3500cc six cylinder engine and what more can we say. It's just wonderful!
