Ford's European pony car - inspired by the legendary Mustang and immortalised by the TV detective series 'The Professionals', the Capri has a special place in many a car enthusiast's heart. MKI production ran from 1969 to 1974 and it was towards the end of the first year that the sporty 3000GT joined the range. Powered by the 2994cc V6 'Essex' powerplant, it harboured 138bhp under its lengthy bonnet - sufficient for a 0-60mph time of 9.5 seconds and a 110mph top speed. The time warp 1971 sale car has had just five owners and is understood to have remained within the same family for the first 20 years. Its 'original' Black interior is complemented by 'excellent' Yellow paintwork that was renewed in 2008. 'FMU 8J' comes complete with stainless steel exhaust system, original owner's handbook, old MOTs, invoices and an unfitted electronic ignition plus various magazine articles featuring the car in question.
