The Honda Motor Company was founded by Soichiro Honda in 1937, initially producing piston rings for Toyota. They made their first motorcycle in 1949 and within 10 years had become the biggest producer in the world. They have gone on to manufacture over 400 million two-wheelers as well as millions of other power products. The CD175 was the workhorse of the Honda range in the seventies but gave a lot of future motorcyclists their first taste of two wheels.
This partly restored CD175, being offered at no reserve, still needs more work to put back on the road and comes with a number of parts including a spare engine. Already fitted to this project are new old stock mudguards, fuel tank, chainguard, brake shoes, chain and sprockets. It also includes a period Rickman-style full fairing and original seventies-style top box. It comes with a current V5C and the original bill of sale.
