Lot details Registration No: BVF 185 Chassis No: 274001 Mot Expiry: Dec 2001
The Austin 7, which was introduced in 1922, really changed the fortunes of the Austin Company started by Herbert Austin and no auction sale would be complete without at least one example of these wonderful budget cars.
This particular example we have on offer for you today dates from 1937 and is a rare beast as until 1995 it had only had one owner from new. It was found in a pretty awful state and needed a complete body restoration when found by the present owner who decided to turn it into a van. It has the rare 'C' cab and is now described as being in first class condition throughout and indeed would undoubtedly be extremely useful to use either for classic rallies or as a company promotion vehicle.
Still sporting what we believe to be its original registration number it has a current MOT until the end of the year and of course is exempt from road fund licence and we are confident that this example will attract a lot of interest at today's sale.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
You can collect your new pride and joy from our venue until 1pm the day following the sale or our partners are on hand to help arrange safe transportation:
