Lot details
Registration No: LFD589P
Chassis No: 20295
Mot Expiry: July 2003

The 1972-launched, William Towns-styled Jensen-Healey had Lotus-sourced double overhead camshaft 4-cylinder engine and Getrag 5-speed gearbox fitted from 1974.
The 1975 MkII being auctioned here has that much preferred 5-speed transmission. Pre-1999, the sportscar belonged to a Doctor for 23 years who drove it for 38,000 miles, though during 14 of those years it was dry stored. Latterly, during his ownership, a new stainless steel exhaust manifold, new Goodyears, new canvas hood and new carpets were fitted.
Since acquisition at one of our auctions, inner and outer sills have been renewed, whilst brakes and suspension have been overhauled. Both engine and transmission are said to be very good, bodywork solid and Copper Gold paintwork basically good, albeit with some blemishes, and black interior good. We also understand from the Yorkshire vendor that original MOT certificates should be included within the car's history file. He tells us that this West Bromwich made sportscar with only 44,447 miles on the clock when entered for this sale is a good honest and useable classic.
