Lot details Registration No: GVT442V Chassis No: 8402 Mot Expiry: Oct 2014
Visually similar to the V8 Mantula, the Martina was powered by a four-cylinder Ford engine. Approximately 80 were produced between 1991 and 1993 - some as kits, some factory built. 'GVT 442V' benefited from construction by one of the UK's top classic restorers (Jeremy Welch) for his personal use, and has still only ever had two owners. The fully balanced engine has been bored out to 2.1-litres and boasts a stage 3 gas flowed head, Kent performance camshaft and electronic ignition. The unit drives through a five-speed close-ratio gearbox with RS2000 alloy bell housing. The braking system features ventilated front discs and servo assistance. Finished in an eye-catching shade of Burgundy, the Marcos is trimmed in Cream leather and complemented by a polished burr elm facia and centre-mounted Stack ST8100 instrument display. The specification includes heated front and rear screens, electric windows and Kenwood radio/CD player. A unique opportunity for road or track.
