Regarded by many as the definitive Steib sidecar, the S500 was intended for use with larger capacity machines displacing 400cc's or more. The body was constructed using 8 steel panels trimmed with polished alloy strips to form the famous "zeppelin" shape and incorporated a usefully sized boot. The body was mounted on a chassis with a sprung wheel and a stylised mudguard helped keep the sidecar and passenger clean.

This example has been in the same ownership for the last fifty years ago and was until recently, fitted to a Triumph twin. It is presented in excellent condition having been fully restored and is offered with a set of universal fittings.

PLEASE NOTE: Also included with this lot are the original spin-on chromed wheel nut, a new tonneu cover and a new fold-down hood and frame. The items can be viewed in the documents office.
