1996 Aston Martin DB7 - Estimate £28,000 - £32,000

A manual DB7 with just 14,000 miles on the clock and two owners, the first one being Sir Elton John, will be sold by H&H Classics at the Imperial War Museum on October 19th.

Sir Elton did just 7,000 miles in this beautiful machine and its current owner another 7,000. Now that it is ‘run in’ you might say its ready for a long-haul owner.

The Aston Martin DB7 is quick, raffishly handsome, with a pedigree that harks back to Goldfinger (1964). The six-cylinder coupe can do 60mph in just 5.8 seconds and will reach 165mph – plenty fast enough for most.

This DB7 is an October 1995(N) registration – 1996 model year, 3.2 litre, i6 supercharged, six cylinder, 335 bhp rare 5-speed manual gearbox. The car’s livery is Rolls Royce Brewster Green – otherwise known as British Racing Green.

Its mileage at just 14,269 miles, makes it possibly the lowest mileage DB7 in the UK. The car is filled with special equipment including a top of the range Alpine stereo with remote control with cassette/CD & radio and a six stack CD changer in the boot with large Alpine V12 amp. This was not standard and was installed to Sir Elton John’s specification. There is a Motorola car phone. The special custom Light Tan hide interior throughout was ordered by Sir Elton John.

It has heated front and rear screens and heated front fully adjustable electric seats. Aston Martin Stage 1 stainless steel rear exhaust and stainless steel front grille. There is an Aston Martin electric tyre compressor in the boot – never used and still in original bag.

This car was supplied by HWM Motors, Walton on Thames, Surrey and features a Cobra Cat 1 alarm.

There is a full-service history and it was last serviced in August of 2010 at 12,340 miles. Since then, it has done just 1,929 miles as it was mainly sitting in the garage. Four new Bridgestone Potenza S001 tyres were recently fitted.

The car’s current registration ‘34 ROB’ is to be sold separately at the H&H auction.
