Lot details Registration No: XPD491N Chassis No: C533552TCR Mot Expiry: Aug 2015
Caterhams have been fitted with a raft of different makes and sizes of engine over the years, and this early example of the breed features one of the more potent options - the twin-cam Lotus 126 unit complete with big-valve cylinder head fed by a pair of twin-choke Dellorto carburettors. The bodywork of 'XPD 491N' is finished in a combination of Orange/Red and polished aluminium and the car is trimmed in Black vinyl. It has apparently had just three previous keepers and been in its current ownership for the last year, and is considered by the vendor to have 'very good' paintwork and interior trim, and 'good' bodywork, 1558cc engine and four-speed transmission, though he does take the trouble to note that top gear is slightly noisy. He is offering the Seven complete with its original sales invoice, V5C, all old MOTs from 1977 onwards and one valid into August of next year.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
